IAMSOUND is excited to announce that we will be releasing the debut single for Florence and the Machine on June 10th. Florence was named by NME as the Best New Band of SXSW 2008 and has been featured in Nylon, Q, Radar and countless other magazines who have picked up on her incredible voice. The single is “Kiss With A Fist” (the b-side being a cover of Cold War Kids’ “Hospital Beds”), also being released the day before (June 9th) in the UK through Moshi Moshi.
You can take a listen to “Kiss With A Fist” on our MySpace page and you can pre-order the 7″ vinyl here. As always, the songs will also be available on iTunes and eMusic.
Directors from across the world have come together to create a series of short films and videos for the Black Ghosts, which we are premiering through our friends at Missing Toof and Big Stereo. One video will premiere each week, with the two sites switching off premieres. Missing Toof premiered the first video, for “Some Way Through This,” and Big Stereo will premiere the next one, for “Anyway You Choose To Give It,” and then Missing Toof will do the one after that, etc. Get the idea?
In that case, make sure to check out the videos every week on these two awesome websites!
Because of a manufacturing delay, Men Women & Children’s new single “Ultra Hot Volcano” has had its vinyl release date pushed back to next Tuesday, May 13th (as part of limited edition, hand-numbered 7″ records). The single and b-side is out digitally now though.
